New Partnership with Salford Business School

New Partnership with Salford Business School
Published on 20 September 2021

We are delighted to announce a new, extended partnership with Salford Business School, providing our suite of business simulations for their students across their foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes.

This will form part of the Business School's new teaching strategy that, while having face-to-face teaching at its core, will embrace new technologies and modern ways of learning.

Dr Charles Knight, Associate Dean of Student Experience at the University of Salford Business School, explained why this change has been made.

Dr Knight said: “The key focus for us at Salford is that students are job-ready when they leave us. This means, as well as a solid academic basis, we also want to teach practical skills, such as problem solving, critical thinking, project, time, people management, and group work.

These simulations will really help us to do that in an interesting and realistic way.”

Our business simulations will cover modules in: international business, management and strategy, marketing, operations management, and management accounting disciplines, as well as feature on Open Days for prospective applicants.

Speaking about the partnership with Salford Business School, Edumundo’s Director, Milo Hendriks said:

“We are delighted to partner with Salford Business School to deliver business simulations for their modules across their Foundation, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate programmes, as well as Open Days. We’re very excited to be involved in the school’s wider, strategic approach to embedding online learning within their existing pedagogical approaches.

A great initiative that highlights how online learning can complement existing teaching practices, not replace them. We look forward to working with the Business School and their students throughout this academic year and onwards.”

The simulations will take place in Trimester 1 (September - March 2021) and Trimester 2 (March - June 2022) of the University's academic year.
