On Campus: Lancaster University

As part of the summer school exchange program at Lancaster University, the Prosim Advanced simulation took center stage. The session was led by Jack Monaghan and Nina Tahitu on Thursday, August 31st, with the assistance of student ambassadors. From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, students immersed themselves in this exciting activity, which aimed to enhance their management skills and strategic thinking. The program attracted around 100 international students from countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, the United States, and Malaysia, with a majority of them pursuing business-related studies.

Divided into 28 teams, participants embarked on a challenging journey to establish and manage their own sport company. Throughout four intense rounds of competition, these teams battled it out to sell four different products: ice hockey sticks, inline skates, skateboards, and tennis rackets. In each round, students had to carefully analyze their business profile, devise a solid strategy, and make crucial operational decisions. After each round, they eagerly awaited their results, which were displayed on a scorecard and ranking list. These outcomes served as valuable insights for the students, enabling them to refine their decision-making processes and enhance their overall business performance. The students' competitive spirit was palpable, and to earn extra points, they were assigned a marketing poster task, which was evaluated by the studentambassadors.

The simulation provided students with key takeaways, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and teamwork in achieving shared objectives. By working together and pooling their skills, the students learned how to navigate challenges and maximize their success.

As the simulation drew to a close, the winners were announced, and the exceptional marketing posters were showcased, highlighting the students' creativity and marketing prowess.
